Class Descriptions

Gentle Yoga

This class while guide you in learning the proper form and foundation of the yoga postures with gentle stretching and light movements. This class is appropriate for every level of practitioner.

All Levels Yoga

This class will challenge you while you learn the proper form and foundation of the yoga postures. Each class will include sun salutations, standing postures and a floor series to encourage students to move deeper into their practice. This class is appropriate for all levels of practitioner who have a basic understanding of poses.

​

All Levels Flow Yoga

This is an energetic class utilizing vinyasas (breath synchronized movement) to move both the body and mind. Each class will include sun salutations, standing postures and a floor series to encourage students to move deeper into their practice. This class is appropriate for every level of practitioner.

Chair Yoga

Seated chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair. It gently stretches the joints and muscles while increasing strength, flexibility and personal body awareness. Clients learn many kinds of yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and ways of relaxation, all while sitting in a chair. Seated Chair Yoga is geared towards clients with limited movement or aging clients who find a typical yoga class to challenging, although it is a great practice for everyone.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a very gentle yoga practice which focuses on physical and mental relaxation. Using blocks, bolsters and blankets in seated and supine yoga positions, the poses are held for several minutes, allowing the body to stretch in a more passive, more gentle manner. Restorative Yoga has been known to help reduce pain, improve digestion, calm the mind, improve sleep and help individuals feel more grounded and energized. Restorative yoga is good for individuals recovering from certain illness and injuries…and can also be an excellent complement to a more active yoga practice.

Cardio Dance

Cardio Dance is a type of group exercise class that incorporates some or many forms of dance. It's an aerobic workout, divided into different tracks that provide peaks and troughs of intensity. The overall intensity of a class varies. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels.

YogaGO! (not currently offered)

This class is for the yoga practitioner who likes to “mix it up”. Blending classic hatha, vinyasa and ashtanga styles this class will include a variety of yoga poses, with plenty of modifications to allow for each yogi’s level of experience as well as physical needs.  You will learn to listen to your breath and your body!  The physical goals of the class are to build stamina, strength, and flexibility, plus have fun!

Beginners Yoga (not currently offered)

New to yoga? Do you want to learn more about the practice and how to properly perform the yoga postures and breathing techniques? If so join us for this amazing class. It is the best place to start! This class while guide you in learning the proper form and foundation of the yoga postures with gentle stretching and light movements.

Prenatal Yoga (not currently offered)

Prenatal yoga is great for pregnant moms in any trimester, to safely help you prepare for birth. Learn postures perfect to use during labor, breathing techniques and movement practices to prepare you for the work of labor. Experience the support of other​ mamas in this fun and learning filled class!

Modified Primary Series (not currently offered)

The “trimmed down” versions  of the primary series (otherwise known as MPS) is an ashtanga based, set series of asanas which include sun salutations, standing and seated postures. Developed by Jois, ashtanga yoga is a more vigorous vinyasa practice with plenty of opportunities to build strength and endurance, as well as flexibility. We begin with a warm-up series of sun salutations to build up heat. The standing series promotes balance and symmetry in the body and aids in the process of detoxification and toning of the body. The seated postures continue this process with a large focus on forward folds.  There is also a great emphasis on alignment.  You can expect to improve your breathing, your strength and balance and much more while benefiting from the detoxification of the body and calming of the spirit. As with any yoga practice, modifications and props are available.

VeraFlow (not currently offered)

Dance, stretch and find your true flow in this unique class. Low-impact moves, balanced poses, stretching elements and mindfulness exercises will get you in flow.

​

Movement Cardio (not currently offered)

A blend of heart raising, blood pumping movement like cardio along with stream lined movements such as pilates & yoga. Cardio Movement will be just that...medicine. Centered around the nervous system, organic release techniques to move energy, and the idea that sometimes we just need to sweat out what no longer serves us is the key focus of this routine. Strength, sweat, move, release. This routine is 45 minutes in length, with 30 minutes of powerful, soul filling movements followed by 15 minutes of rest, relaxation and reset.

Meditation (not currently offered)

This class will help students learn the art of mindfulness and learn how to teach the mind to relax.
